Redoute's Choice (foaled 1996) was an Australian Thoroughbred racehorse and now stallion. He is very well-bred being by Danehill from Shantha's Choice, who was closely related to Group One winners Hurricane Sky and Umatilla. Since then, close relations, Platinum Scissors (a full brother to Redoute's Choice) and Al Maher, have also won Group One races.

Raced by his breeder, Sri Lankan businessman Muzaffar Ali Yaseen, in just his second race start, Redoute's Choice won the prestigious Blue Diamond beating what would become his archrival, Testa Rossa, by two lengths from a wide barrier. This effort promoted him to favouritism in the world richest two-year-old race, The Golden Slipper. But he was scratched the night before the race, leaving Shogun Lodge as favourite and fellow Danehill colt Catbird to win it.

Redoute's Choice came back as a three-year-old in the spring to win the Group One races the Manikato Stakes and the Caulfield Guineas, again overcoming his nemesis, Testa Rossa. He had finished behind Testa Rossa at his previous two races, the Ascot Vale and the Invitation Stakes but on this day the two champion colts had a battle royal down the straight with Redoute's Choice just prevailing. Punters were so impressed that Redoute's Choice started favourite two weeks later in the strong 1999 edition of the Cox Plate. But he ran an ordinary fifth with Sunline winning her first Cox Plate ahead of Tie the Knot, Sky Heights and Testa Rossa.

In the autumn of 2000, Redoute's Choice just had three more starts winning the Group One C F Orr Stakes and losing Group One races to Miss Pennymoney and for one last time, Testa Rossa. He was then retired to stud where it appears he will really make his mark.

In just a few seasons Redoute's Choice has established himself as the heir apparent to his father, champion sire Danehill with a high cover fee already. His has excelled as a sire of two-year-olds with quinellas in the Golden Slipper, Blue Diamond and even a trifecta in the Magic Millions on the Gold Coast. But he has also had horses gone on as three and four-year-olds winning the Oakleigh Plate, Caulfield and Thousand Guineas,VRC Oaks and placing in the Cox Plate. His best horses have been Miss Finland, Lotteria, God's Own, Snitzel, Stratum, Fashions Afield, Nadeem, Undoubtedly, Bradbury's Luck and Cheeky Choice.
