Redmon is a village in Buck Township, Edgar County, Illinois, United States. The population was 199 at the 2000 census.

Redmon is located at 39°38′43″N, 87°51′45″W (39.645165, -87.862367)[1].

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.2 square miles (0.4 km²), all of it land.

As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 199 people, 84 households, and 58 families residing in the village. The population density was 1,346.8 people per square mile (512.2/km²). There were 94 housing units at an average density of 636.2/sq mi (242.0/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 99.50% White, and 0.50% from two or more races.

There were 84 households out of which 31.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 57.1% were married couples living together, 10.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 29.8% were non-families. 27.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 9.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.37 and the average family size was 2.83.

In the village the population was spread out with 25.1% under the age of 18, 6.0% from 18 to 24, 29.6% from 25 to 44, 26.1% from 45 to 64, and 13.1% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 40 years. For every 100 females there were 105.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 96.1 males.

The median income for a household in the village was $29,375, and the median income for a family was $45,500. Males had a median income of $30,625 versus $30,625 for females. The per capita income for the village was $17,020. About 13.5% of families and 19.4% of the population were below the poverty line, including 46.7% of those under the age of eighteen and 14.8% of those sixty five or over.
