The redface moray, Monopenchelys acuta, is a species of saltwater eels, the only member of the genus Monopenchelys of the Muraenidae (Moray eel) family. It is found in the Atlantic from Ascension Island and the Bahamas to the Caribbean, the eastern Pacific from Hawaii, and also from the western Indian Ocean. Its length is up to 209 mm
The redface moray is small, slender, and somewhat compressed, with a long broad snout.
Coloration is uniformly brown with a red head and tail tip.
