Red News
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Red News is the first Manchester United supporters' fanzine, founded in 1987. It is available in printed format, and on the internet with daily news on the football club Manchester United.
Over the years there have been a number of fanzines sold outside Old Trafford but Red News, Red Issue (which two former Red News contributors left to set up) and United We Stand are still going strong, all with a different theme and format.
Red News celebrated its 21st anniversary in April 2008, one of the few remaning fanzines - a handful - that were created in the 80s boom. Red News has interviewed over 40 current and former United players, with one of its highlights being an interview with Eric Cantona.
Red News also provides internet forums for United fans to discuss MUFC related topics and off topic topics. The forums are mostly noted for their VIP area, which boasts many top quality posters. This is the place for all reds and all you need is to read the mag.
In 2008, Red News was short listed for the Fanzine of the Year 2008 http://www.footballfanzineawards.com/nominations-premier-league.php
