Red House School
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Red House School is a co-educational independent school in Norton, Stockton-on-Tees, in the northeast of England.
Red House has a distinguished history and is one of the area's oldest independent schools, founded in 1929. The school consists of a nursery and infant school, for children from nursery to year 3. A recently formed unit houses our purpose-built Nursery, Reception and Year 1 Forms in bright, airy rooms. Years 2 and 3 are located in the Old Vicarage, a charming Georgian building, together with specialist rooms which include an ICT suite, a library and a music room.
On the opposite side of the village green resides the preparatory and main school, which provides teaching facilities for year 4 to year 11 pupils. Red House enjoys an enviable educational track record as Teesside's premier co-educational independent school. Recently, Red House was ranked number one independent secondary school in the North of England in The Sunday Times Parent Power League Tables 2006. This follows an academic record, which is rather good, having produced some of the best GCSE results in the Tees Valley from 2002-2005 (The Times).
