Red Hair (Robert Wegmann album)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Red Hair is a Robert Wegmann album. It was released in 1998 as the follow-up to The Wild Party. With this release, Wegmann expands his instrumentation with the Chapman stick, injecting a cerebral edge to his pop sensibilities that harkens comparisons to a King Crimson coloring to the XTC-rich style. The results are daring and impressive. The tunes are a bit headier on this release, displaying more intent toward experimentation. The vocals still remain light-hearted and rich, giving a humanity to the dense mass of cerebral instrumentation.
This Release is a significant maturing by Wegmann, boosting him to a level that fuses pop music with innovative musicianship.
