Red Fusion

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Red Fusion was a fruity, red-colored carbonated soft drink marketed by Dr Pepper/Seven Up, Inc. (now Dr Pepper Snapple Group). Released in July 2002, it was the first new flavor added to the Dr Pepper family of beverages in the company's 122-year history. Many people claimed it tasted like a cherry or cranberry soda with a hint of Dr Pepper. It also seemed to be more highly carbonated than regular Dr. Pepper.

[edit] Cancellation

Its production was essentially cancelled less than a year later, although in certain areas it was available until late 2004. It was cancelled to make way for the new Cherry-Vanilla Dr Pepper which most believe was Dr Pepper's way of making Red Fusion appeal to adults seeing as their attempts to make it appeal to teenagers had failed.
