Red Dragon Centre
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Red Dragon Centre is an indoor entertainment complex in southern Cardiff, the capital of Wales.
It is located in Cardiff Bay, opposite the Wales Millennium Centre. Built in the 2000s, the complex features restaurants, cafés, an Old Orleans restaurant, a Hollywood Bowl with arcade amusements, an Odeon cinema, a Doctor Who visitor centre (due to the series being filmed in the city), a casino and an on-site car park. The centre was formerly called Atlantic Wharf, but it was renamed after a Cardiff radio station, Red Dragon FM, whose studios are also in the complex along with Xfm South Wales.
It is located off the A4232 between the M4 J33 (Cardiff West) and Cardiff city centre. It is situated near Cardiff Bay railway station and directly served by Cardiff Bus routes 6 (Baycar to the city centre) and 8 (to the University Hospital of Wales via Grangetown, Central Stn, Cathays and Heath) but enjoys a location in Cardiff Bay to benefit from its transport opportunities.
