Red Dead Revolver 2 (codenamed "Old West Project" in 2005), is the follow up of its predecessor Red Dead Revolver released in May 2004. It is expected for release sometime in 2008 although the official release date has yet to be announced.
A trailer of the project was released to a select number of people at a Sony conference in 2005. This trailer can be viewed on YouTube here. The trailer boasts a scene familiar to its predecessor, so it is expected to be a continuation of the original story. However clarification will be needed as the game becomes closer to its release date, which has also not yet been verified.
It is speculated that this may be the exclusive PS3 new IP that Rockstar announced, with this being the spiritual successor to the original, instead of a direct sequel.
