Red Bull Rampage
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Red Bull Rampage was an invite-only men's freeride mountain bike competition held in the Zion National Park near Kolob Resovoir Road in Virgin, Utah, USA. The first competition was held in 2001.
The event was similar to freestyle skiing and snowboarding, where competitors are judged on their choice of lines down the course, their technical ability and the complexity of tricks.
The last Red Bull Rampage was held in 2004, with the finals taking place on the 31st of October.

[edit] Trivia
- Kyle Strait is one of few riders who has entered all four Rampage events; he was only fourteen when he entered the 2001 event.
- In 2004, a new area was to be added to the course. However, bad weather conditions meant that this part had to be abandoned.
- The finals of the 2004 Rampage was held on Halloween. To mark the occasion, Cedric Gracia dressed up as Captain America for his final run. Unfortunately, he crashed out of the competition, and was unable to defend his title.
- Kyle Strait also dressed up as a teddy bear, although he did not actually attempt his run in the costume.
