Red-Eye (energy drink)

Red Eye is an Australian energy drink. It was first made in 1995 with the release of the original 'Red Eye Classic'. A range of 5 more flavours has since followed, each with their own individual tastes. Red Eye Classic contains 106 mg of caffeine in a 330ml bottle. The same 330ml bottle of Red Eye Classic also contains (in accordance with the label) 100mg of taurine, 20mg of niacin, 2mg of vitamin B6 and 5mg of pantothenic acid. Red Eye Classic contains 14.7g of sugar per 100ml (48.5g in the 330ml bottle).
The additional Red Eye varieties are: Extreme, Platinum, Passion, Plus (no longer available), Gold and Power (which comes in a smaller 250ml can).

The ingredients in a 330ml bottle of Red Eye Classic are listed as follows: Carbonated spring water, sucrose, food acid (330), caffeine, taurine, guarana extract, niacin B3, pantothenic acid B5, vitamin B6, natural and nature identical flavours, preservative (211), colour (250).

Red Eye is not recommended for pregnant or lactating woman, or individuals sensitive to caffeine. It is recommended that no more than two bottles per day are consumed over an extended period of time.
