For you investors out there, we are now, (Dec 28th,2005), witnessing an "Inverted Yield Curve". In numerous articles it is claimed that the inverted yield curve precedes a recession. If this continues to prove itself to be true, then, in the Spring of 2006, we investors will want to invest in stocks of those companies that are in INDUSTRIES that perform well DESPITE recessionary times. Such industries are often labelled, "Recession-Proof" or "Recession-Resistant" industries. What are they? I searched the net and a large number of investment books but have not been able to find a definitive list anywhere. It is my hope that by starting this list here, we can create such a definitive list. So far, from MANY textbooks and many sites on the Net, I have identified the following "Recession-Proof" industries, [Note: a "?" indicates I am not certain of this particular industry as "Recession-Proof"].
