Recuva (pronounced "recover") is a freeware program, developed by Piriform, that recovers files that have been "permanently" deleted (marked for deletion by the operating system, to be considered as free space), whether from the recycling bin, or from programs that support deletion of files (including malware). It runs under Microsoft Windows.
