Recovery Probability Objective (RPO) describes the probability of successfully recovering from a disaster affecting a computing environment. A Recovery Probability Objective is measured as a percentage where 100% denotes certanity of recovery whereas 0% is a clear indicator of a hopeless strategy. The Recovery Probability Objective is proportional to the time and effort invested in the preparation of adequate IT infrastructure and also the time and effort expended in testing the setup.
