Reconstituted family
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A reconstituted family also known as a blended family is a union of two adults who have had previous marital relations and have had children in those previous relationships. It is the family type created from the conjugation of two lone parent families.
The Brady Bunch is an example of a reconstituted family.

A reconstituted family need not result from the joining of two adults who have had previous marriages but only two adults who have children from previous relationships.
The step family is similar to the RECONSTITUTED family, this is where to partners have married and have the children from previous marriages, therefore the husband or wife will therefore be a stepmother or stepfather to the children of their married partner and vice versa with the other children.
