[edit] When is an event recurring?
How do you know (still in 2007) that events established in 2007 are recurring? Jaraalbe (talk) 22:33, 30 December 2007 (UTC)
- They are events that have plans to recur and are likely to. Categories "Potentially recurring events established in 2007", "Events established in 2007 with the intention of recurring", or "Events established in 2007 with a high likelihood of recurrence" seem too awkward. Since it is useful to have these events grouped, keeping the same format is probably best. Quatloo (talk) 22:38, 30 December 2007 (UTC)
- I accept your point. However, how many years do we wait to remove those events that have failed to become recurring events? Would the use of a category like Category:Events established in 2007 solve this problem? Jaraalbe (talk) 15:28, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
- No matter what, a magic dance must be done annually, and what you are proposing is a considerably more cumbersome dance -- the category would have to be brought up for CFD annually. As opposed to just the current solution, simple recategorizing should any events fail to recur. As the events listed are actually likely to recur, you are addressing a problem that either does not exist or is a negligible issue. Quatloo (talk) 20:04, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
