Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm is an American 1903 classic children's novel by Kate Douglas Wiggin. There is also a sequel, New Chronicles of Rebecca (1906/07). Eric Wiggin, a great nephew of the author, updated the two versions and wrote a concluding version in the last 15 years.

Rebecca goes to live with her two stern aunts in a village in Maine. Her joy for life ends up inspiring them. She faces many trials in her young life, but comes through them with more wisdom and understanding.

Rebecca lives on a farm with her mother and six other brothers and sisters Rebecca has no father for he died a few years earlier. Then one day her aunts send for Rebecca's older sister, Hannah, to go live with the aunts in Riverboro. Rebecca's aunts are old and need help doing daily activities. Rebecca's mom cannot spare Hannah so she sends Rebecca instead. Upon arrival Rebbeca learns that her Aunt Jane is sweet and kind and that her Aunt Miranda is much stricter. In Riverboro Rebecca learns to sew, cook and do many household chores. She goes to school and meets Emma Jane who becomes her best friend. Rebecca ends up completing High School and enjoys living with her aunts. Though she never feels she has Aunt Miranda's respect. In the end Miranda dies and Rebecca is given the brick house.
