Rebecca Trelease began her acting career in 2002 with a small character role on Shortland Street. Since then, she has earned an honours degree in film and communication studies at The University of Waikato, while appearing in numerous films and stage shows and earning several acting awards from her work.
Highlights of her emerging career include leading roles in short films such as Clean as a Whistle, White Noise, The End, and Killer Worms from Outer Space. In 2005, Rebecca played the prestigious role of Anne Frank in the New Zealand tour of The Diary of Anne Frank, and has since starred as the lead character in Down by the Riverside, a feature film written and directed by Marama Killen and Brad Davison.
