Rebecca Herbst (born May 12, 1977 in Encino, California) is an American actress, best known for playing nurse Elizabeth Webber on the longrunning daytime drama General Hospital, a role she originated on August 1, 1997, and Suzee, an alien on the Nickelodeon show, Space Cases.

At the age of six Herbst told her mother that she wanted to be on television so that she could play with the toys. She has appeared in over 60 national commercials, guest-starred in many television series, including Highway to Heaven, L.A. Law, Beverly Hills 90210, Step By Step, and Days of Our Lives.
In 2007, Herbst appeared on Tyra Banks' talk show to help Tyra through "soap opera school."[1]

Her parents are from Germany and she is the youngest of two children. She has an older sister named Jennifer. Rebecca's nickname is Becky, although her mom sometimes calls her Liberty.
She married former General Hospital co-star Michael Saucedo (ex-Juan) in June 2001. They have two children, Ethan (b. October 31, 2001) and Ella Bailey (b. April 12, 2004).
Rebecca's childhood dream was to become a national figure skater and she has skated with the likes of Michelle and Karen Kwan. Because she didn't like the competition aspect of figure-skating, Rebecca's ice-skating career lasted until she turned 16, when she decided to concentrate on acting instead. And in 2001-2002, Rebecca even had the opportunity to skate on the show General Hospital, once in January of 2001 and another time in November of 2001. Besides ice skating, Rebecca likes to design clothing and sew. She has designed most of her Daytime Emmy dresses for herself and some costars. She likes animals she has a couple of dogs named Sadie and Ryder. She also has 3 cats and 6 rabbits. Herbst recently bought a snake for her and her son.
Herbst is close friends with many of her co-stars, including Steve Burton, Natalia Livingston, Laura Wright, Kelly Monaco, Greg Vaughan, and Rick Hearst . Even though she and Burton are lovers on screen, off screen Burton describes her as being like "his sister". She is also close friends with Steve Burton's wife Sheree. Herbst and her husband Michael often hang out with Steve, Greg, Rick and their wives.
She is of no relation to GH co-star Rick Hearst (who played Ric Lansing, Elizabeth Webber's ex-husband), whose birth name is Richard Charles Herbst.
