Though Hardy was praised for her high-fashion look and impressive portfolio, she occasionally struggled with her confidence during the second cycle of Canada's Next Top Model. In the end, the judges thought that only one girl can take fashion to another level, and Rebecca Hardy was named Canada's Next Top Model.

Jay Manuel, host of CNTM, stated: "Rebecca is the total package! She's got the smarts and the passion to be a bonafide success in this business. I will continue to mentor her beyond the realm of the show. Expect to see her make a splash on the international modelling scene." [2] Nole Marin, creative director of CNTM, also praised Hardy, saying, "[Rebecca] is amazing --she is definitely a strong model and someone to look for in the fashion industry. I think she definitely will be working and hopefully you guys will like her." During the competition she was praised for her editorial and commercial brillance.[3]

As Canada's Next Top Model, Hardy obtains a $100,000 beauty contract with P&G Beauty, a modelling contract with Sutherland Models, and an editorial spread in FASHION magazine.

Before Canada's Next Top Model Hardy was signed to Cameo Models in Waterloo, Ontario. She was named M.A.G Model of the Year 2005, by M.A.G Canada. Since CNTM Hardy has modeled for Grand Magazine.

Hardy's modeling career in Europe is rising fast. She is now signed to Mandpmodels in London.
