Rebecca Closure

Rebecca Closure is a female English artist, born in Kettering and now based in London.
She attended Dartington College of Arts where she studied under electro-acoustic artist Kaffe Matthews, she also has a PGDip in Music Psychology.
Rebecca previously performed with trash electro band Joan of Ass alongside DJ Disastronaut releasing records on American label 555 Records and extensively touring the UK with a notorious show at the Institute of Contemporary Arts on the eve of the Golden Jubilee of Elizabeth II
Choosing to produce and perform solo, Rebecca formed Fs_ion and performed around the east London club scene with 2 contemporary dancers I.E with notorious shows at Turnmills, Spitz and 333 club. Later changing her name to "Rebecca Closure", She collaborated with artists such as Damo Suzuki, Simian, Now and regularly performed at Club MU a monthly Free Jazz night. Rebecca Closure's EP Hotklub was released in 2003 on DC Growler records and is set to release two more records.
Rebecca Closure's 2006 film Hotklub about a historical feminist skipping club has been screened at the Halloween Short Film Festival, and BANG films festival Brasilia. Her film Rebecca Medway about a girl who lives in a service station was a finalist in the Big Issue Film Competition of Raindance Festival in 2005.
