[edit] Welcome

Welcome to Wikipedia. To find out more about how to make useful contributions, take a look at the welcome page. To stay in Wikipedia, an article has to be about something notable, that is, of general interest. Click on notability for an explanation of what that means. Also, it must give independently verifiable sources. Articles that don't meet these requirements are deleted. Follow the links below to learn more:

  1. To find out more about creating articles, read the introduction, tutorial, and guide to creating your first article.
  2. Do not write articles about yourself, your company, your band, or your best friend - that's a conflict of interest.
  3. Wikipedia is not an advertising service.
  4. For experiments, please use the sandbox. JohnCD (talk) 10:29, 21 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Q.U.I.S.M.

A tag has been placed on Q.U.I.S.M., requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the article and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. [edit] Advice

If this was a page to which you were intending to add more later, you would do better to wait until you have compiled a useful article before you input it; a great many trivial or nonsense pages get added to Wikipedia, and so incoming pages are looked at and speedily deleted if they do not meet Wikipedia's standards. JohnCD (talk) 10:29, 21 November 2007 (UTC)

I see you do indeed intend to add more: another way to give your article temporary protection is to put an {{underconstruction}} tag on it. So I have done that for you, and taken off my speedy-delete tag. You will need to fill out the page fairly soon, though. JohnCD (talk) 10:40, 21 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of Devin Ruddy

A tag has been placed on Devin Ruddy requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Thanks for uploading Image:John Felice Rome Center entrance.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image.
