I wonder, mostly out of pure curiousity, and not neccessarily in a wish to make wikipedia into a dictionary... I wonder, if realm can be said to rather have the meaning "the lands and people of a kingdom" rather than the governal and judicial aspects?

Shouldn't definations of words be in wikitionary? Falcon 16:41, Mar 21, 2004 (UTC)

Maybe you're right. Let's put {{msg:wiktionary}} on it!

Doesn't this rather look like a disambiguation page? --Johan Magnus 17:18, 14 Oct 2004 (UTC)

I agree i don't think its suitable for moving as it is - user:max rspct 01.42 2nd Jan 2004 (UTC)

[edit] give it time

just give the article some time so it can develop. actually, where do you put the line between wikipedia articles and wiktionary articles? someone added the information about the java thing on the realm article - i don't think that this would be in place in the wiktionary - thus leave the article as it is. --Abdull 10:41, 30 Jan 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Contorted opening sentence

Realm is an old term still used as an alternative word for kingdom, the current opening sentence, with kingdom pipe-tricked to Monarchy, is very contorted. And the pipe-trick isnt very satisfactory in other articles either (eg Englis). While Kingdom is a disambig page, as now, there is a need, it seems to me, for an article called Kingdom (realm). (Realm could then be merged into the new article.) Laurel Bush 12:45, 12 December 2005 (UTC).
