[edit] Reyes

Real Madrid still trying to use their option to buy Reyes, so he still Real Madrid player until that option be exhausted. Look the updated Real Madrid squad and Arsenal squad, he still in Real Madrid and not in Arsenal.--ClaudioMB 16:58, 21 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Friendly Match

I found some sources here about friendly matches for RM but some of them are not confirmed by offical site!! MARCA Stoke City GOALZZ

Now there is official source at Real Madrid--ClaudioMB 23:54, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
That undated official source was from 2006. I'm sorry, my mistake.--ClaudioMB 23:53, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Last date of competitions

I believe for competition that have eliminations, such UEFA Champions League, the last match's date, on Real_Madrid_2007-08_season#Overall, should be blank until it happens.--ClaudioMB 23:18, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Scorers

I don't think the scorers column need a Scored, since the column is just for scorers. Regards. --ClaudioMB 23:00, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

I made it because I used to write it in other article, so now I notice. Thank you, I will edit it. Saudi9999 23:24, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

Now, players' position uses codes defined in Football (soccer) positions.--ClaudioMB 17:41, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Most frequent starts positions

In the first leg of the Supercopa, didn't Madrid use a 4-2-3-1 formation with Diarra and Gago as the two holding or defensive midfielders? I saw the match on Telemundo which posted the starting line-up with a 4-1-2-1-1-1 (with a lone forward & an attacking midfielder) formation while my friend saw a listing of Madrid playimg in a 4-1-3-2. This will be very subjective and confusing. Raul17 06:41, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

For some teams, the start formation will be not a big problem, but for others, it will be, you right, subjective and confusing. Mostly in the begin of the season. Even though, I feel it could be given a try. I don't know if anyone else agree with me, but I don't like when I read an article about a team and there is no indication which formation that team use and which players normally form the start 11. I think that is a very important information about a football team and should be included. Furthermore, after the transfer window ends, editors could have more time to check the formation and discuss it. I'll try do it. Lets see if other editors seeing that will start to give their inputs, like you did it. So, 4-2-3-1, was it: Casillas; 4: Sergio Ramos, Pepe, Cannavaro, Torres; 2: Diarra, Gago; 3: Balboa, Guti, Robinho; 1: Raúl? Sounds about right. Do you want to change it or I do it? By the way, I try to stick with formations describe in Formation (football). 4-2-3-1 is there, but, 4-1-2-1-1, that's weird. Try to draw it in a paper and you'll see that's not real, everyone in the middle, no one in the flanks. Regards.--ClaudioMB 16:32, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
The 4-1-2-1-1-1 is just a modified 4-4-2: 4 defenders; 1 holding(or sweeper if you will); 2 flanking(or side) midfielders; 1 attacking midfielder; 1 forward(or supporting forward); and 1 deep striker. Milan played several games using this formation. And yes, you are correct with the players assigned above. Raul17 19:53, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
How about the second leg. Was it 4-4-2? If not, please tell the formation and players position. Thanks. --ClaudioMB 20:15, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
I am not sure. It could have been 4-1-2-1-2 which Madrid used to use when Raúl first broke onto the squad or 4-3-1-2. I have to review the match. Raul17 20:41, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Castilla players in Transfers section

Codina and Torres are (yet) the only Castilla players who have been given a place in the first team squad (numbers 1-25). see talk:Real Madrid for an explanation of spanish roster rules. Sebisthlm 23:19, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
