[edit] Overview

The compilation debuted at number sixteen on the Billboard 200 chart, selling 96,000 copies in its first week of release. The album has achieved Platinum status.[1]

The tracks "Once", "Alive," and "Black" have been remixed by Brendan O'Brien. The album features the same alternate mix of the track "State of Love and Trust" that is actually featured briefly in the movie Singles, but differs from the soundtrack version. The album also includes non-album versions of many other tracks. Pearl Jam's version of the Victoria Williams song "Crazy Mary" was supposed to appear on Disc 2,[2] but was replaced with "Man of the Hour" before release. This release marked the end of Pearl Jam's contractual agreement with Epic Records.[3]
