Real Maryland Monarchs is an American soccer team, founded in 2007. The team is a member of the USL Second Division, the third tier of the American Soccer Pyramid.
They play their home games in the Championship Stadium at the Maryland SoccerPlex in the town of Boyds, near Germantown, Maryland [1]. The team's colors are white, gold and black.
The team's nickname, "Monarchs" or "Los Monarcas", harks back to the state’s colonial roots under Lords Calvert and Baltimore.
