"Ready to Fall" is a single and video by melodic hardcore band Rise Against. It was the first single from the 2006 album "The Sufferer and The Witness"

[edit] Video Overview

It was made in 2006, and it is about pollution and its effects on the environment. The video is 3 minutes, 52 seconds long, and cuts between shots of the band playing, the lead vocalist, Tim McIlrath, singing, and shots of animals being saved or dying, if not already dead, from various environmental hazards caused by humans, even being direct animal cruelty. At the end of the video, Tim McIlrath says, "Every action has a reaction. We have one planet, one chance."

As well as the version played on television, there was another, more graphic version created. This was never released officially but is available on certain websites. The video serves a testimony to veganism. Rise Against is very active with PETA, and the band members are all active vegetarians or vegans.

An acoustic version of this song was performed live on the CJZN Radio station in Victoria, British Columbia on January 18, 2007 before a Billy Talent concert featuring Rise Against, Anti-Flag and Moneen.

[edit] Chart Overview

The song has reached #13 on the Billboard Modern Rock charts. It is the lowest charting single from The Sufferer & the Witness, but at the time of its peak it was the second highest charting single by the band.

This is known as one of rise against most important videos ever made.
