Reading Entertainment

Reading Entertaiment is a movie theater company which is part of Reading International, Inc. It is the successor to the Reading Company, the owner of the Philadelphia and Reading Railway. Most of its operations are in Australia and New Zealand under the Reading Cinemas trade name.

They own and operate a half dozen cinemas in the United States, including a stadium style 12-plex theater in Manville, New Jersey, in the United States called "Reading Cinemas Manville 12" that opened in 1999 on land that was once an abandoned industrial site. In October 2007 Reading International Inc purchased 15 theatres owned and operated by Pacific Theatres Exhibition Corp in California and Hawaii and are were apart of the Reading Cinemas chain February 2008.
