Reachin' a Level of Assassination, from 1991, was the only album released by the Los Angeles-based hip-hop duo Funkytown Pros, which was comprised of emcee Boiwundah and musician-producer Devastatin’. It was released through 4th & B'way/Island under a distribution deal with entrepreneur Matt Robinson’s short-lived Peace Posse Records. It is unclear if this is the same person who originated the role of Gordon on Sesame Street. Considered an underground classic despite poor sales, it featured dense, lo-fi production and complex, cerebral, socially conscious lyrics. “Just Another Toss-Up” and “White Green” were released as singles.
