[edit] License tagging for Image:Sharedlanemarking.png

Thanks for uploading Image:Sharedlanemarking.png. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 14:08, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

Thank you for uploading the photos. Can you please add image copyright tags, so we know what license you are releasing them under? --NE2 04:53, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Interstate Highway plan June 27, 1958.jpg

I am a bit confused by your tagging of this image. Your rationale is listed as it not being a work of the US government, but the image never claimed to be. The public domain rationale was that it was published prior to 1978. Did you find a copyright notice that says it is copyrighted? Otherwise it falls in the public domain. --Holderca1 15:46, 10 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] What the ??????

Please explain your most recent change to Interstate 15 in Arizona. The revision history states it was a minor change, correcting a caption to a photo. It was actually not a minor change and removed over 1k of material that was mostly sourced description and history. Please advise why you did this. Davemeistermoab (talk) 07:49, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

Honestly don't know how that happened. All I remember editing was was "over" to "up" on the photo caption - didn't touch the other parts, and yet they got messed with (and I didn't pick up on it in preview). Apologies for any inadvertent damage - it wasn't my intent to make any other changes, and I still can't figure out how it did happen. RCMoeur (talk) 03:09, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, that's happened to me too. My apologies if I came across as brash. That day was a bunch of good faith edits that all got reverted for one reason or another, and I was getting a little frustrated.Davemeistermoab (talk) 18:12, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
