[edit] Alicia

On the Nanoha thing, I'd put up Alicia's page a while ago. I was going to get around to the major characters but have been kind of nervous about getting things wrong and so delayed it. But yeah, I think character pages are for spoilers- see Galaxy Angel for a good example of what I mean. True, if Alicia gets her own page then everybody else needs one. Thank you? ---Jisu 23:14, 25 June 2006 (uh... what's my time zone... my brain has flown away for the moment)

[edit] GARNET CROW

You're welcome. I had the same trouble with moving pages back when I first started editing pages and I screwed up big time. I eventually got it fixed, but it was such a pain. Moving a page isn't that hard at all; it's after it's moved that may end up becoming a problem if a double redirect occurs or something like that. ---Juhachi 17:12, 18 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] JFACE EPL FDL possible incompatibility

You are right on this. I looked allover and couldn't find any info to indicate that they are compat or that they aren't. Since you did the Temp, I think we can you use your Temp. It's important for SWT page to become smaller and less bloated even after this recent rewrite. Can you ask for moving? (from Temp to normal one?). Thanks a lot for your interest and help. --Nkour 17:40, 30 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Shakugan no Shana

Hi Remy. I would say that up to the volume 11 the main villains of the novels are the same as the anime. However, it's difficult to tell which villains appear after the end of the anime. In the novels, Shana and Yuuji haven't had their "showdown" with the Ball Masque yet and the plot is more complicated than the anime. Volume 10 of the novels is dedicated to a flashback to the middle ages, which introduces a very large number of characters, but few of these characters are recurring. So I think it is safe to say that the Trinity and maybe Dantalion are the major vilains because they are deeply involved in the main plot/conflict of the series. It seems that Fileth will be a significant villain in the novel plot because of her relationship with Yuuji, but I don't really know how that pans out because Fileth gets involved in the plot around volume 12. Hope that helps. :) --Shimei 20:23, 3 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] AfD nomination of NapsaQ

An editor has nominated NapsaQ, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not"). Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/NapsaQ and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. [edit] February 2007

A tag has been placed on Mina Kubota, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (below the existing db tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. MHDIV ɪŋglɪʃnɜː(r)d(Suggestion?|wanna chat?) 21:15, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Work on the Kaleido Star article

Just wanted to thank you for your excellent work on the Kaleido Star page! Hopefully, along with the earlier updates made by others and myself, this can push the rating a little higher... LainEverliving LainEverloving 06:11, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Xenosaga and Xenogears

Hi. I'm in the process of transwiking a lot of Xenosaga and Xenogears-related information - the endless lists of in-universe info that do not belong on Wikipedia - to the Xenosaga Wikia (here). Any help at the Wikia to get the information settled in or with the transwiki process would be greatly appreciated. — Deckiller 02:34, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] per your Help Desk question

copied form the Help Desk:

This image has been tagged as being a derivative work of an image that was originally under the Public Domain. Does anyone know what's the deal with images included in a "fan site kit"? --Remy Suen 19:01, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

It would depend on a lot of factors, but mainly the issuing company's copyright policy. First, if it was not issued by the company that created the characters, its probably a copyright infringement no matter what the website says. If it is issued by the creator, it would depend on their definition of a fansite. If it says anything about only non-commercial use, then it isn't public domain for Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a fansite and does not promote products, so that may also need to be taken into consideration as fansites are effectively free advertising, while Wikipedia may also present the negative aspects of something, which the copyright holder may not like. If they say something alsong the lines of "This image has no copyright and is released into the public domain," then it fine. But right now, you have 2 tags on the image, a public domain tag and a fair use tag. The fair use tag doesn't apply though, 1320x695 is not low-resolution, a requirement for fair use. A quick look at the website though and it appears it is not in the public domain, and a simple photoshop collage of a few characters is still most likely protected by their copyright. I would say, by a look at the Flyff article, you have way too many images to qualify as fair use. Any game screenshot or picture from the website is copyrighted and for fair use, you need a limited number of low-resolution images. Right now, you have 12. I would suggest either removing some, or emailing the company and asking for permission. See WP:IUP and WP:FAIR for more details. Mr.Z-mantalk¢Review! 23:35, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Question about Flyff AFD

As you saw, Flyff got its second AfD today, but it was an anonymous IP that put the template up, and no reason for it was given (he or she did say "notability", but only in the edit summary). There's also no page to discuss it at AfD, it looks to me like the anon just pasted the tag in because he or she hadn't heard of it and promptly forgot about it. What should I do about that? I can't vote to keep it because there's no discussion page, and I don't think I'm supposed to just remove the tag. --Niroht | Smoke signals 21:49, 29 March 2007 (UTC)

I have created the page, although I think I screwed it up a little since it's linking to Flyff (2nd nomination) instead of Flyff'. --Remy Suen 22:15, 29 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Shakugan no Shana

I saw that you have been improving it, so I guessed that you are trying to bring it up to GA, but right now I'm a bit busy with Air and related articles, so I will have to answer your question later; thanks for changing the album cover to the real cover.-- 21:15, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Need help on editing issues

Hello. I was wondering if I could ask for your help in settling an editing matter. One editor proposes character name changes since he/she don't seem to agree with the official english version and prefers what he/she deducts as the right translation. For instance: english publication says Rubel, Japanese phonetics say Ruvuru. Said Editor prefers to spell it as Louvr. Debate is on going at: Claymore Discussion. Thank you. -Mickey

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Clockworks1.PNG)

Thanks for uploading Image:Clockworks1.PNG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 01:31, 21 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Saiko no Kataomoi.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Saiko no Kataomoi.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 20:54, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of Gekkō no Carnevale

A tag has been placed on Gekkō no Carnevale requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. ~**_mustafarox_**~ (talk) 03:14, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Cats in redirects

As far as I know, it was discussed either at WT:ANIME or WT:MOS-ANIME, but it's little more than an experiment at this point, or else it'd be in the MOS. I think it's a stupid idea, and may bring it up again soon to see if we can settle this.-- 21:57, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
