[edit] Profile
Hi, my name is Remy Suen and I am an undergraduate studying at the University of Waterloo. My main interests are programming, watching Japanese animations, and listening to music. My blog can be found here.
[edit] Programming
The programming language that I am most familiar with is Java. The main tools I use for programming are Eclipse and Vim. My primary operating system is Gentoo Linux, but my Fujitsu notebook is also capable of booting Windows XP. I also have great interests in Haiku, which is an open source project that is working to recreate BeOS.
I am actively involved in the open source community and am currently a committer for the Java-GNOME and Eclipse Communication Framework projects. I was a participant for Google's Summer of Code program in 2006 working on an implementation of the BitTorrent protocol in pure Java. My contributions to the Eclipse community was recognized at EclipseCon 2008 when I received the Top Contributor award. If you need help with Eclipse, please feel free to drop by on the #eclipse IRC channel on freenode.
[edit] Japanese Animations
Currently, I am watching the series listed below:
My main musical interests lies in J-pop and music from game and anime soundtracks. I primarily follow the artists/composers listed below:
