Mesinai's opera "Myth Of Nations" was premiered in 2005 at The Kitchen in NY and was performed shortly afterwards in Catania / Sicily at the Etna Fest. Based on the Sumerian myth,"Inanna's Descent To The Netherworld", Mesinai utilized his ability as a composer to it's fullest and temporarily abandoned his usual process of creating solely in the studio. The piece was written for 14 players including 3 singers. The libretto was written by Darius Van Sluytman (aka Seraphim) and Celena Glenn (aka Black Cracker). In the years that followed Mesinai wrote several other compositions that required live players and incorporated graphic and standard notation with live "dub" effects. Some of these pieces are "Sleepwalker" (for electric bass, violin and electronics) among others. In 2007 Mesinai wrote two string quartets - "Crossfader" (which was commissioned by The Kronos Quartet), and "Citadelle" (commissioned by The Ethel String Quartet). —Preceding unsigned comment added by Daniel153 (talk • contribs) 06:33, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
