Christopher Richard Mwashinga,Jr.born January 9, 1965 is a Seventh-day Adventist Minister. He was born to Mr. Richard Male Mwashinga and Christine Mwaselela both of Igawilo Mbeya in the United Republic of Tanzania. He is married to the former Ruth Michael and they have a son called Christopher II. Christopher Mwashinga,Jr attended Ngare-Nairobi primary school in West Kilimanjaro in the North-Eastern part of the country, (1975-1981).Upon his conversion to the Seventh-day Adventist faith in the April of 1985,he felt the call to become a preacher of the gospel of Christ Jesus.In order to better prepare himself for this important work,he went back to school, this time joining Igawilo Secondary School for his O'Level education,(1985-1988). He was chosen to join Songea Boys High School in 1989 and graduated in 1991. In 1993 he joined the University of Arusha in Tanzania for a course of study leading to the degree of Bachelor of Arts in Theology. After two years there he continued on to the University of Eastern Africa,Baraton in Kenya where he graduated in 1997.Following his graduation, he worked for the Eastern Tanzania Conference of Seventh-day Adventists headquarterd in Morogoro, as director of several church departments including:Youth,Education,Public Campus Ministries, Public Affairs and Religious Liberty, Children Ministries and Co-ordinator of Sattelite Program.During a period of eight years of work in this conference,his Ministry took him to many countries of the world such as Germany,Brazil, Canada, USA, England, Czech Republic, Thailand, The Netherlands, Dubai and several other African countries. In his ministry, he primarily focussed on the youth and university students. He made presentations or met and prayed with students and fuculty on tens of campuses on five continents.He visited institutions of higher learning such as Harvard University,(USA) Prague University of Agriculture,(Czech Republic) Oxford University(UK), Reading University,(UK) Newbold College(UK)Friedensau Adventist University,(Germany), Yale University(USA),Andrews University,(USA),University of Nairobi,(Kenya), Kenyatta University,(Kenya), Moi University,(Kenya), Ryerson UniversityCanada,University of Dar es salaam( Tanzania), University of Zanzibar, Butare National University,(Rwanda),Makerere University,(Uganda) and Adventist University of Brazil, to mention some. Through his preaching and poetry, Pastor Mwashinga,Jr has influenced thousands of university and high school students to love God and be responsible citizens of the world.In 2008, he graduated with a Master of Divinity degree from Andrews University, [[USA.
