[edit] Lacrosse

User:99.251.75.55 added that "As of 2007 the complex is now home to the Newmarket Saints of the OLA Junior B Lacrosse League." This team is not even listed on the OLA article nor web site. Anyone have other information? Is it a future team? Flibirigit 18:20, 5 November 2007 (UTC)

Well there is a team called the Scarborough Saints.... possible relocation? I'll go ask some of my sources. DMighton 22:32, 5 November 2007 (UTC)

The Newmarket Redbirds Lacrosse Club is pleased to announce that the OLA approved the transfer of the Saints Jr. B lacrosse team to Newmarket at the AGM this weekend. The Newmarket Saints team will compete in the 2008 Jr. B season and play its home games at the Ray Twinney Complex in Newmarket.

Planning for the season is well underway. Further information regarding the team can be obtained by contacting Rick Fitchett at dlo-msntssg@rogers.com and/or Stew Beatty at 4beatty@rogers.com.

I guess it is true. DMighton 22:39, 5 November 2007 (UTC)

Thanks. Where did you find that? Flibirigit 23:14, 5 November 2007 (UTC)
OLA Unofficial Forum... http://www3.sympatico.ca/glendundas/unofficialola.html... there are some really loyal OLA fans out there that runs these sites... they even have Ontario lacrosse's history documented into the 1800s, with standings.... amazing stuff. This is the history one: http://bible-of-lacrosse.com/ -- this website is better than hockeydb... but for LAX. DMighton 02:41, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
