[edit] Personal recollections of Ray Smith

I remember Ray with affection. Between 1978 - 1979 I was the barman at the Malthouse pub, Dinas Powis and Ray would spend his evenings in the public bar whenever he was not working. He would arrive at 6pm and leave at closing time, occupying "his" stool at the end of the bar. He was a kind, generous and quietly spoken guy who's only fault was that after too many drinks he could become quite dogmatic and belligerent. He was dismissive of his fame and fortune and the wealth that came with it and would rather spend his evenings amoung friends in his local pub than attend celebrity events. 21stCenturyGreenstuff (talk) 20:16, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
