[edit] Minor editing issues

Many of his records failed to gain a prominent following, but he was very successful until poor health cut short his touring. I'm not sure what that means - it seems contradictory, and it doesn't make sense that records have a following. If he didn't have a following, in what way was he successful? That's what I thought - but couldn't work out how to copy-ed it. Saga City 10:27, 22 May 2006 (UTC)

His most famous songs - as a composer or performer? I interpreted that at first to be as composer, but was surprised that he wrote "How High the Moon", and verified it wasn't true here: http://www.jazzstandards.com/compositions-0/howhighthemoon.htm (unless it is a different song by the same name) so I think it could be reworded. [edit] Removal of misleading link

The article, following Scott Yanow article in allmusic.com, refers to side-work with Clarence Carter. I removed brackets since that made a reference to the late 20th Century blues-jazz performer of the same name. As he was born in 1936, he would have been a mere infant in the referenced year.
