[edit] Ray Hedges (Record Producer/ Songwriter)
Hello!
I removed the speedy tag you left on this article because I feel the importance of the subject is indicated even though the article is not yet well written. There are actually many music related articles on Wikipedia that mention this subject so an article about him would not be inapropriate. I'll try to help the author clean up the article if it's gonna stay.

- I'm not debating mr. Hedges' importance, but the quality of this article (if you can call it that) is extremely poor. Furthermore the article is written by User:RayHedges which in my humble opinion is a serious conflict of interest (see WP:COI). And I would appreciate it if you used the 'hangon' tag if you don't agree with my speedy del request, instead of just deleting the lot. Rien (talk\stalk) 21:29, 15 March 2008 (UTC)

- Not to argue but here you nominated the article for speedy deletion as per WP:CSD#A7. Nominating the article under that particular criterion would indicate that you suggest that the article does not indicate why its subject is important or significant. The article, although not well written and completely unsourced, does indicate the importance and significance so that was the reason why I contested the nomination. I disagreed with your assessment that the subject should be speedy deleted because of no indication of notability and, since I was not the creator of the article, I thought the most appropriate thing to do would be to remove the speedy tag as per the rules on speedy deletion nominations (Any editor who is not the creator of a page may remove a speedy tag from it.). Only the author of the article needs to use the hangon tag. I thought the nomination was not appropriate to begin with. As far as the WP:COI, I agree that this might be one of those cases so that's why I'm volunteering to improve the article as well as keep an eye on it and make sure that any future edits by the author fully conform to all rules and guidelines.
