Dr. Raymond W. Alden III is the current Provost of Northern Illinois University.[1]
Raymond Alden attended the Stetson University for his Bachelors degree, and he received his Doctorate in Zoology from the University of Florida. Alden began his academic career at Old Dominion University, and he would go on to spend 21 years at this institution. Later Alden would go on to the University of Nevada Las Vegas, and he would serve for about 10 years as the Chief Academic Officer. In January of 2006, Alden accepted the position as Provost at Northern Illinois University.
