Raymond Stebbins

Raymond C. "Ray" Stebbins is United States attorney and political activist, a member of the Democratic Party. He is best known as a winner of the Democratic New Hampshire Vice Presidential primary.
A 64-year old resident of Weymouth, Massachusetts he is a retired corporate attorney. He never held a public office, but is frequently involved in political campaigns.
Vice Presidential primary is a very low key event and usually no prominent candidate participated. Vice Presidential primary also have no impact on nomination process. Many of them, however, winning as write-ins (just as Estes Kefauver, Al Gore, or John Edwards).
Stebbins won primary with 46.93%, against next candidate, winner of the 2000 republican primary William Bryk.
During a campaign, his bumper stickers "Vote for Ray Stebbins, Vice President", included phrases "easy to remove" and "so you wouldn’t have it on there for years".
Stebbins cited Harry Truman as his political hero and favourite Vice President.
