Raymond Boland (Roman Catholic Bishop)

Raymond James Boland (born 8 February 1932 was the Roman Catholic bishop of the Diocese of Kansas-City-Saint Joseph, Missouri, USA[1]. He was born in County Tipperary, Ireland. He was ordained a priest on 16 June 1957 and was appointed the bishop of the Diocese of Birmingham, Alabama on 2 February, 1988 and was ordained a bishop on 25 March 1988. The Principal Consecrator was Archbishop Oscar Hugh Lipscomb; his Principal Co-Consecrators were James Cardinal Hickey and Archbishop Eugene Antonio Marino, S.S.J. Bishop Boland was appointed to the Diocese of Kansas-City-Saint Joseph on 22 June, 1993; he was installed on 9 September, 1993 and resigned on 24 May, 2005.
