Rayamangalam is a village (Grama punchyathu) in the Ernakulam district of Kerala state (India), near to the towns, kuruppampady,Prumbavoor,Moovattupuza & Kothamangalam.If you go through this place you can see so many rock mining quarries and stone crushers. It is blessed with beautiful hills which are either latex tree planted or huge rock wells digged. Another major activity is wood processing like plywood, match sticks etc. The Punchayath office is located at Nellimolam, a place which can be reached via keezhillam- kurichilakkodu road from MC road. The main roads passes through this punchayath are MC road or Main centre road and AM road or Aluva Munnar road. You may also see a canal (periyar Valley Irrigation Project) passing through the heart of this place, which is originating from the Periyar River at Boothankettu. The Koottumadam Temple here is famous for the 'Thaipooram'festival of Subrahmanyan along with the nearby Temple of Siva 'Parakkattu'.
In terms of health care there are two good hospitals, including one Primary Health Center at Nellimolam.
Other nearby places are Kuruppampady, Pulluvazy,Nellimolam, Methala etc.
