"Surfer" Ray Odyssey is an American professional wrestler who competes primarily in Northeastern and Mid-Atlantic independent promotions and has had successful stints in Mid-South Wrestling, American Wrestling Association, International World Class Championship Wrestling, Extreme Championship Wrestling and the National Wrestling Alliance during the late 1980s and throughout 1990s; he also made a brief television appearance in the World Wrestling Federation as a preliminary wrestler in 1991.

Among his former tag team partners include Vic Steamboat, Chris Evans and, most notably, was also one half of the Beach Bullies with The Inferno Kid and Surf & Turf with Jimmy Deo.

Odyssey was on the receiving end of a terribly botched finishing maneuver. Wrestling in the American Wrestling Association as "The Surfer," Odyssey was scheduled to lose to a new wrestler named Rocky Mountain Thunder. At the end of the match, Thunder attempted to lift Odyssey onto his shoulder to perform what appeared to be a version of the Razor's Edge. Thunder evidently underestimated Odyssey's weight and fell backward with Odyssey on his shoulder. Odyssey landed on his knees, but Thunder did not release his hold around Odyssey's waist, causing Odyssey's torso to bend in half. Odyssey was lucky to escape what could have been a broken spine. Thunder finished the match by forcefully taking Odyssey over in a front facelock and pinning him.
