Ray Mawby

Raymond Llewellyn Mawby (6 February 192222 July 1990) was a British Conservative politician.

Mawby was educated at Long Lawford school. He worked as an electrician and was an official in the Rugby branch of the Electrical Trades Union. As such, he became the first president of the Conservative Trade Unionists' national advisory committee. He was a Rugby Borough councillor in 1952.

Mawby was Member of Parliament for Totnes from 1955 to 1983. He was assistant Postmaster General from 1963 to 1964.
