Ray Howells

Ray Howells was a worker in the railway workshops in Swindon. He became active as a shop steward and joined the SLL. He was elected as an AEU full-time official. In the 1970s he, Clive Norris and a group of SLL members around them, were linked to the opposition in the SLL led by Alan Thornett. He later joined the SLG and left active politics in the mid 1980s.
