Ravens Wood Ravens an amatuer basketball team, based in South East England, which plays in the ESBBA and in the Kent Cup. The Ravens play their home games at Ravens Wood School Sports Hall or occasionally at the Sennocke Centre at Sevenoaks School. The Ravens have 1 National Cup and 3 Kent Cups under their name with their former coach, Coach Carey.

Since the extroadinary success of the team, Coach Carey defected to Kelsey Park School where he became Head of Physical Education.

During the time of Coach Carey, the Ravens were undefeated in 3 years.

The Ravens recently won their forth consecutive Kent title against Simon Langton in the U17 Bracket.

(11/05/07) - Ravens defeated Simon Langton 81-38 to win the Kent Cup U19 Bracket for the 5th consecutive time and making history at Ravens Wood School and in the Kent Competiton.

[edit] National Champions 2006

In the 05-06 Season, the Ravens fought their way through to the final of the ESBBA National Championship, playing against teams with U16 England Players.

The final was held at the Jesse Boots Wildcats Arena in Nottingham with coach full of spectators travelling to support the Ravens.

The Ravens took the Championship with a nail-biting win over Whitefield Fishponds, 60-59.

[edit] Canada 2008

At the start of 2006-2007 season, it was announced that a tour would be scheduled in Canada, where the Ravens will take on High School Teams over a 5-7 day period. The tour would consist of 2 exhibition games, an entry into an annual tournament and tickets to an NBA game (Toronto Raptors).
