Greetings all. My name's Donovan, and am a Information Junkie. As for what I contribute, I like to think I have some knowledge of a variety of subjects. In my 37 years, I have been:
Busboy at a Country Club.
A soldier in the United States Army for just over three years 1988-1991. I worked on radars for the Hawk SAM system. I spent the First Gulf War in Germany guarding against possible terrorist attack with an empty M-16.
Short Order Cook for the Checkers Drive-In chain.
Stock boy for Toys-R-Us in the Christmas season.
Manual Labor at a television repair shop.
Lazy College student at the University of South Alabama.
11 Years at BellSouth (Now at&t) as a Service Tech (the guy who installs/fixes your home phone; 1 1/2 years), a Cable Splicer (the guy stringing wiring up the big stuff out at the street, to include fiber optic cables; 2 years), and now a Central Office tech (the guy who makes sure everything from your home phone to OC-192s gets out to the field techs).
7 years with the Society for Creative Anachronism, much of it as our group's Herald.
Active Role Player, was in the CCG when Magic was a novelty, but moved on to L5R. Still an active player (since 1990) in the Star Fleet Universe.
Was a computer geek when I had my Vic-20 and Commodore 64, knew what I was doing on my Amiga, but have drifted into the user caste as Windows has taken over.
Cynical Agnostic with an Atheist father and a Pagan mother (separated long ago).
A moderate Liberal who would love to slap around the party leadership of both sides of the aisle at times.
Survivor of Hurricanes Frederic, Danny, Georges, Ivan, and now Katrina. Not to mention a dozen that I can't remember the name of.
And a general, all around, wannabe Know-it-All
Be well, and if you are ever around the Barony of the Osprey down in Meridies, look up Donovan Ravenhull and say hello.
On a secondary note, I am the step-son of Isaac Bonewits and I do patrol that page to eliminate any sign of obvious vandalism, but I will attempt to avoid violating Wikipedia policy in regards to this relationship.
