Ravendale, an unincorporated community in the County of Lassen, is located on high altitude desert terrain at 5,300 feet (1,600 m) above mean sea level. Almost exactly halfway between these two cities, Rand McNally shows 54 driving miles to Susanville and about the same distance to Alturas.
