From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Ratzinger Foundation is a charitable organization founded by Pope Benedict XVI in order to fund scholarships and bursaries for poorer students across the world. [1]

The Foundation makes much of its money from the selling of Pope Benedict's various writings. In 2007 £1.6 million was raised for the charity by the selling of Benedict's biography on Christ entitled. Jesus of Nazareth [2]
