Ratton School, commonly known as just Ratton, is a coeducational comprehensive Community school located in Eastbourne, East Sussex in England. Established 51 years ago, it is one of two Arts Colleges in the town, the other being Cavendish School.
[edit] Overview
Ratton School had 1183 pupils between the ages of 11 and 16 in its last Oftsed inspection[1]. It is located on the border of Old Town and Hampden Park.
The school's current headteacher is David C. Linsell. It has a recently installed VLE (virtual learning environment) which lets pupils post on forums to discuss homework and classwork.
The school is also second home to a black and white cat called 'Star'. She is a valued and much loved member of the Ratton community. She can be found most days patrolling the corridors and spending her 'non-contact time' sleeping in the staff room.
The school's uniform consists of a navy blue jumper with a white polo shirt underneath, black or navy blue trousers and black shoes.
